The Fordham men lost to George Washington on the road Saturday night 93-67. The Colonials shot the ball very well all game. They used a stretch of 11 straight baskets in the first half to take a commanding 56-33 lead by halftime.

The Rams jumped out to a 7-0 lead in against the 13th ranked team in the country but could not sustain that momentum.  The Minutemen turned on the defense using a full-court press that gave them control the rest of the way.

Another heartbreaking loss as Fordham lets 5pt OT lead slip

Kenny Ducey talked with Head Coach Stephanie Gaitley about the start of conference play and the last three games against St.Louis, UMass, and Duquesne. Senior guard Abagail Corning droped by the show and disscussed becoming the 16th player in school history to score 1000 points.

With 18:15 left in the game, the Rams were down 20 points, 55-35. Just 16 minutes later, a Branden Frazier 3 made in 77-74 with just over two to go, but that's as close as the Rams would get. Missed free throws and foul troubles hurt Fordham who increased their losing streak to 3 games. Mack Rosenberg and Chris Marasco caught up with Coach David Duke afterwards to get his thought on the tough 87-81 loss, which kicked off Atlantic 10 Conference play. 

Fordham Athletic Director David Roach joined me in his monthly spot to talk all things Fordham athletics. Roach commented on the success of the women's basketball team, Patrick Murray signing his first NFL contract, the future of the men's basketball program, and took some listener questions as well.

Fordham head basketball coach Tom Pecora joined me in his weekly spot on One on One to talk all things Fordham hoops. The Rams are 7-6 heading into conference play, and coach talked about how disappointing the last two games (an eight point loss to Harvard at home and a ten point loss to Siena on the road) have been. We also looked back on the non-conference portion of the schedule.

On Saturday afternoon the Fordham Rams basketball team fell on the road to the Monmouth Hawks by a score of 87-78 at the Multipurpose Activity Center. The loss puts Fordham at 6-4 overall, while Monmouth improves to 6-6. Mack Rosenberg and Chris Marasco chat with Associate Head Coach David Duke to hear what he had to say about the Fordham loss.

On the final episode of this season's Monday Night Quarterback, Head Coach Joe Moorhead talks with Mike Watts and Nick Logerfo about the Rams falling short in the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs aginst Towson, 48-28. He also looks back at the best season that Fordham has had in the modern era.

The Rams' dream 12-2 season comes to close with a 48-28 loss against Towson in the second round of the FCS playoff. Michael Nebrich threw for 394 yards and 4 TDs, but that wasn't enough as Towson's Walter Payton finalist Terrance West rushed for 3 scores and quarterback Peter Athens threw for another 3. Towson will advance to the quarterfinals, while Fordham heads back to Bronx.  It was an unexpected season for the Rams after going 1-10 two years ago and 6-5 last year. Coach Moorhead's squad exceeded many expectations and was even ranked in the FCS top 5 in the polls at one point. The Rams were in this one the entire way too, with a 21-21 tie going into halftime. In the second half, however, the offense sputtered and the Tigers' offense proved too much for the defense to handle.  The Rams went down 21-7 early, but two touchdown passes from Michael Nebrich and some luck, with a kickoff glancing off a Towson player that Fordham was able to recover, the Rams found themselves all tied up. Last Saturday's victory over the Sacred Heart Pioneers, 37-27, marked the first time the Fordham Rams won a playoff game at Jack Coffey Field.  In advancing to the second round of the FCS playoffs, the Rams improved to 7-0 at home and 12-1 overall, both are now Fordham records. Fordham Head Coach Joe Moorhead hopes that the team can continue their record shattering season. He sat down with Mike Watts and Nick Logerfo to recap and analyze this playoff win.

Jack Coffey Field was silent a mere two weeks ago when starting quarterback Michael Nebrich left the Bucknell game with a knee injury. Today, the Fordham fans cheered once again as he returned to the field. The Rams fell last week without Nebrich, but the offense took off with his return, marching 65 yards in under two minutes to give Fordham a 7-0 this afternoon. They would not look back. Fordham scored four touchdowns on their first four drives of the game, and when all was said and done, the team racked up 8 trips to the endzone.  Wide receiver and punt returner, Brian Wetzel, had half of those - three through the air, one an 81-yard punt return. Tebucky Jones was the team's leading receiver with 224 yards through the air and one touchdown.
