The duo talked about their shared love of sports, camaraderie on the football and lacrosse fields, and what it's like to survive in a small town. They also talked about their differing paths and obstacles they faced. Aboukal. who does the grunt work in the trenches in football and lacrosse, was raised as a brown kid in a white town by his older siblings. Lawler was a star athlete in football and basketball, and a bonafide DI recruit in lacrosse before a horrific series of injuries his junior year nearly ended his career and sent him into a very dark place. They both talked about finishing strong, looking back, and wanting to savor every last moment. This one is definitely a tear jerker.
