Lindsay discusses her book and getting to perform with one of her all time favorite bands in Cold.

Joe Cotela of Ded joins the Talk Toomey Podcast. Joe and Joshua discuss the latest single "Kill Beautiful Things" and the making of the video. This was recorded around the time of the Nevermind album cover lawsuit and the guys discuss the merits of the case. Joe also talks about how much image is apart of Ded, the upcoming In This Moment tour and touring through a pandemic. Jason Newsted joins Talk Toomey to discuss the 30th Anniversary of The Black Album. Jason and Joshua talk about recording with Bob Rock, writing My Friend of Misery and touring the album. This is an amazing hour long chat with the legend. 

Kyle Thomas  joins the Talk Toomey Podcast to discuss all things Exhorder. Kyle and I go down memory lane and talk about his early musical interests and what got him singing in a band. Kyle discusses signing two record deals with Exhorder before the debut album. We talk about recording at Morrisound Studios with Scott Burns. Kyle jokingly talks about the many breakups of the band and the latest news on Exhorder. Exhorder have come back with a vengeance with their latest releases.  

Scott Ian Lewis of Carnifex returns to the Talk Toomey Podcast to discuss the latest album, Graveside Confessions. Scott also talks about the re-records they did for the album and having fun digging back into the old tunes. We go over their Korn cover and the influence that Nu Metal has had on the Deathcore Scene. Carnifex is one of the few bands that has completed tours since the country has started to open back up and he tells us about record attendance and merch sales. He also talks about his writing process and his insane notebooks. Overall, great time with Scott. 

Phil Demmel returns to the Talk Toomey Podcast! Phil is one of my favorite all time guests and this one does not disappoint. Phil and I chat about having big heads and large hats, Titans / Raiders and his newest baby. He discusses being Mr. Quarantine jam and how that helped with his confidence in playing. He spills the beans on almost playing Bloodstock with Devin Townsend. He is so proud of the 5 new Vio-Lence songs and the legacy of the band. He ends with a tour of his bar and talks about making a drumstick chandelier in tribute to Joey Jordison. 

Marc Rizzo joins the Talk Toomey Podcast to discuss his exit from Soulfly. Marc talks about what spurred his decision to leave the band and his plans moving forward with his solo project. Marc also discusses his Hail The Horns project with Tony Campos. Marc and I discuss Dino joining Soulfly on this upcoming tour and Sepultura's pandemic collaborations. Marc finishes with talking about the love from the fans and hopes to see everyone out on tour soon.

Wayne Lozinak joins the Talk Toomey podcast to discuss all things Hatebreed. Wayne and Joshua talk about all the albums he participated in and the upcoming Metal Tour of the Year. Wayne talks his love of Kiss and getting into heavier bands such as Metallica and Judas Priest. The guys think back to the early days of Wayne being in the band and Wayne leaving for his day job. Wayne tells us about rejoining the band as a tech and then getting the fulltime gig. They finish up on some Breed Brew talk.

Andreas Kisser of Sepultura joins the Talk Toomey podcast this week. Andreas joins Joshua Toomey to discuss the SepulQuarta release and the upcoming Quadra tour. Andreas also discusses his time filling in for Scott Ian and Anthrax, what the Big 4 meant to him and hanging with the guys backstage. Andreas also remembers his time working on Roadrunner United with Joey Jordison and working closely with Paul Gray. The guys get into some classic talk about Arise being Sepultura's dream record, working with Scott Burns and Morrisound Studios. They finish up talking about the great drummers that have played for Sepultura and how lucky they have been to work with some greats.

Dee Snider returns to Talk Toomey to discuss his latest Jamey Jasta produced solo effort, "Leave a Scar". Dee is excited for his 2nd record with Jasta and feels he has more to say this time around. Dee talks about wanting Corpsegrinder on the record and singing onstage with Attack Attack!. He also discusses selling off his past catalog, how Sebastian Bach should do an album like this and how singers benefit from being the voice of the band. He finishes off with a great Phil Anselmo story.

Michael Paget of Bullet For My Valentine joins the Talk Toomey podcast. Padge discusses their upcoming self titled album, playing Download Pilot and being super anxious to get back on stage. He explains how Kurt Cobain made him want to play guitar, but Dimebag was the character he wanted to be. Padge also talks The Poison and how they didn't know what to expect with the record. The episode starts out with the booming voice of Chuck Loesch . Chuck and I discuss the upcoming Blacklist record, Megadeth cameos and naming your kids after bands.

Flotsam and Jetsam have returned with a killer new record, Blood in the Water. Michael Gilbert joins Joshua Toomey and Talk Toomey to discuss the upward trajectory of the band, Eric's vocals continuing to get better and the process of recording their home studios. Michael also talks about being able to fine tune the record throughout the pandemic and getting back to Europe for touring. Joshua and Michael also reflect on Metallica's Black Album and Jason Newsted helping a 17 year old Michael in the early days of Flotsam and Jetsam with club owners. The guys also talk Michael watching Korn blow up on one if their tours together. Michael also gives his opinion on paid meet and greets and Toomey talks about the missed opportunity to pay $25 to meet Ace Frehley.This episode starts out with friend of the show, Chris Akin. The mighty Jesse Leach joins the Talk Toomey Podcast this week to discuss the latest Times of Grace release and more. "Songs of Loss and Separation" will be out on July 16th through their own imprint, Wicked Good Records. Jesse tells us what separates Times of Grace from Killswitch Engage. He dives into the audition process he went through to rejoin KSE. We talk about the significance of Howard and Jesse becoming friends and what that means for the fans of KSE. Jesse talks about his musical taste ranging from Minor Threat to Bjork and beyond. We also get into talking about some old man stuff like mowing the yard and bird watching.

Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada joins the Talk Toomey Podcast. Mike and I talk about the latest EP "ZII" and also take a look back at "The Act".  Mike discusses touring pre-pandemic and what he has done throughout the shutdown. We go over how "ZII" was made and how the band works spread throughout the country. We take a trip down memory lane with their early days of bright tee shirts and the "Stay Fly" cover. Mike and I finish off with some hockey talk and my adventures with the Tampa Bay Lightning! 

K.K. Downing of KK's Priest joins the Talk Toomey podcast this week. K.K. is on to discuss "Sermons of the Sinner". We talk about the album being a love letter to the fans. K.K. let's us know how the album came together and the writing process of these new tunes. K.K. talks about his departure from Judas Priest and how he was willing to do a final tour with the band. Porter McKnight is the bassist of Atreyu and this weeks guest on Talk Toomey. We discuss their upcoming album "Baptize" out through Spinefarm Records. Porter talks about the vocal changes the band has gone through and his  new expanded role. Porter also talks about moving from Alabama to Orange County and joining Atreyu. We delve into working with John Feldmann and what he brings to the table as a producer. 

Fernando Ribeiro of Moonspell stops by the Talk Toomey Podcast to discuss their latest album "Hermitage". We discuss Fernando getting into music in the 80s in Portugal. He talks about writing in a fanzine and the tape trading back in the day. We go into what Hermitage means to him and the meaning behind the album title. Tuomas Saukkonen of Wolfheart joins the Talk Toomey Podcast this week. Tuomas is on to discuss the latest Wolfheart EP "Skull Soldiers".
