Talk Toomey: The Metal Nexus Podcast

Art Cruz of Lamb Of God joins the Talk Toomey Podcast this week! Art is on the program to discuss the latest LOG album, Omens. Joshua and Art talk about Art being in the band for multiple albums now, his approach to writing drum parts for the band and still having pinch me moments on stage. Art speaks on the multiple fill in musicians that have helped Lamb of God complete recent tours and if he had any worries that the shows would turn into a trainwreck. Joshua and Art also discuss the greatness that is Randy Blythe and the legacy of Lamb of God.

CJ Pierce and Jasen Moreno of Drowning Pool join the Talk Toomey podcast. The guys are on the show to discuss the upcoming album, Strike a Nerve.  CJ and Jasen talk about the single, Mind Right, and the idea of honoring Pantera with the song. They talk about growing up in Dallas and becoming friendly with Pantera and how they are now looking forward to seeing the upcoming Pantera celebration shows. CJ speaks on why it took six for a new Drowning Pool record and Jasen talks about the recording process. Toomey talks about the 20th anniversary of Dave Williams passing and all the tributes that were all over social media. CJ recalls the day he passed and how he found out the tragic news. Jasen talks about his favorite songs to play live and CJ lets us know how Drowning Pool got hooked up doing U.S.O. shows. 

Joshua and Chris are back with their latest tomfoolery. The guys start out the show with some talk about interview scheduling and mishaps. In music news, the guys tackle Anthrax cancelling a tour due to "out of control costs" and the landscape of band touring struggles as a whole. Joshua and Chris then give a quick review of House of the Dragon and some music recommendations. 

Levi Benton of Miss May I joins Joshua Toomey and the Talk Toomey podcast this week to discuss the new album, Curse of Existence.  Levi and Joshua talk about how there aren't any ballads on this, it's all straight bangers! Levin speaks on working with Will Putney and him getting out of the dumps to write a great Miss May I record. The guys start the conversation with some talk about a Mexican Restaurant/ Brothel that he bought and renovated with his wife. They finish of that chat with bringing family on the road, actually being tourists in cities and going Myspace viral.
