I guess I've been out of the loop because until today, April 2nd, I had no idea Netflix was releasing a brand new Judd Apatow movie- The Bubble. Freaks and Geeks, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, FUNNY PEOPLE; Judd Apatow has released some all time classics. So many that I would argue the term Apatow Comedy should be a sub-genre all of its own. The next stop on Andrew's journey down the folk horror rabbit hole brings us to the cornfields the fictional town Gatlin, Nebraska. The children have killed off all the adults, and worship a mystical figure in the corn fields. On Halloween day, 1983 Vicky, a Pre-Terminator Linda Hamilton and her and her boyfriend Burt have the misfortune of stumbling across the town. We are beginning a journey down the rabbit hole of Folk Horror, and the movie Jugface is our starting point. This film has shown up on lists of most disturbing horror films since it came out, but this is a first watch for me. Folk Horror is also only a semi familiar genre, so we will be learning this together. The inspiration for this journey stems from the documentary Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched streaming on Shudder. Join Andrew on a trip to Oslo, Norway via the local AMC. The Worst Person in the World finally made it to a local screen, and I was dying to see it. The movie didn't disappoint.  Also, far too much time was spent talking about "The Slap Heard Round the World" today, and this show is no exception. My personal conspiracy theory that Will's slap shook us into a new dimension of the simulation. Studio 666 is a movie that I had been meaning to see. I've heard good things, that it's a great movie to just enjoy and turn your brain off for. I didn't make it to see it in the theater, and regretted it when it left quickly. The regret deepened on Saturday morning when I woke to the news that Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the Foo Fighters had died. He was 50 years old, and was in a band that brought so many people together. I say this because Foo Fighters bridged the gap for so many different sorts of music fans. If you liked country, you still liked the Foos. If you liked metal, fuckin' Foos. If you were punk to the core, gimmee more FOOS. Hip hop, boy bands, Christopher Walken, it didn't matter. We all loved the Foos. It's tragic when the world loses things like this.  Studio 666 is a movie that also brings people together. Watching that movie again was a bad decision. First off, thank you to everyone who has supported this podcast. I appreciate it, and carry it with me every day. It's been a hard road getting back. Was looking at the disc I record on, and to get to this point, there have been 132 discarded files. File 133 was finally the one that popped back up here, and there are more in the can. The only way to succeed is to try one more time, and that is what this phase of the podcast is based upon.  Each episode is now starting with my "preconceived notions" of what I'm about to watch based on rumor. Then I see it with mine own eyes to break down those notions. Well, this is an unusual episode. The place I've been staying has been filled with smoke and noise, so I had to get a hotel for the weekend. From lack of sleep, a different sort of episode emerges featuring Lords of Chaos, Until the Light Takes Us, Heavy Trim, and the controversial Cuties. 

It's tough to find the energy to do something as silly as a podcast while 2020 keeps showing us the ugly side of its ass, but here goes. Movies are still being watched. This week the films covered are 1BR, Uncle Peckerhead, Queen and Slim, and I'm thinking of Ending Things. The last of which includes a spoiler discussion with a bunch of friends.
