Ivana devised a calculated plan to live and work abroad. She knew early on that she wanted to live abroad and carefully chose an employer that would allow that to take place. Now living in Brussels, Belgium she talks about her experiences living in a country in which she doesn’t know any of the languages and how she’s been able to navigate some of the challenges. Snap yourself out of autopilot by experience things outside of your comfort zone. 3. We dive a bit deeper into the different social media platforms and their effectiveness. Such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. We also learned about a few others that you could add to your toolbelt. Once you’ve decided on a platform then pick a niche and begin indexing your industry knowledge online. And sometimes the narrower the topic the better. We help you to think about the following: 1. Use your content as an excuse to reach out to thought leaders and start conversations. 2. It’s not about the number of people who read your content it’s about making sure you have quality content. 3. Obtain the data from the social media platform that you chose, so you can better understand your audience. Start Grinding 1. Berna Anat and her partner paid off $50,000 in student loans and credit card debts. Which allowed them to save up enough financial resources to travel for a year. Berna then quit her job and bought a one-way ticket to New Zealand. This led her to create Felicia’s Wallet to help others become debt free. Now Berna is traveling the world, co-hosting a podcast called Ticket2Blog with Jema Patterson of Half The Clothes, which provides super practical steps on how to be a blogger and a nomad without losing your mind or selling your soul.
