On C&SI podcast land this week we are back into Ordinary time in the liturgical calendar but on this weeks podcast we explore a little what the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus means in the month of June. In addition we are joined by Fr Brian Nolan CSsR who lets us know what is happening this year with Limerick's Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.We have our regular run through the liturgical odds and ends for the weeks ahead. On this special "feast of devotion" we mark the celebration of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (the Body & Blood of Jesus).  The celebration is a mirror to Holy Thursday with a special focus on the Eucharist which allows to focus in on this as the ultimate expression of Gods supreme presence with us.In the second part of the podcast we pick up a reflection  piece we did with our old colleague Lorraine Buckley on Eucharistic adoration in 2015.   We have our regular run through the liturgical odds and ends for the coming week which includes the feast of the Uganda martyrs and the solemnity of the Sacred Heart. We also have our reflections on the Sunday gospel for the solemnity of Corpus Christi which is from Mark's account of the Last Supper.

In answer to her prayer, the Virgin Mary led her in spirit to Nazareth, showed her the house where the Annunciation occurred, and asked her to build a replica in Walsingham to serve as a perpetual memorial of the Annunciation.

On this Pentecost Day the People of God celebrate the culmination of Eastertide with the marking of the out pouring of the Holy Spirit on the early church. In a world that seems a little mad at the moment, the great invocation and prayer Come Holy Spirit is truly a timely prayer.On this weeks podcast, we are joined by Fr Frank Duhig to reflect on how we are can explore and come to know the silent member of the Holy Trinity in our lives whose prescience is that still small voice which speaks to us at our inner most core.We have our regular run through the liturgical odds and ends of the coming week which marks the return to Ordinary time in the liturgical calendar.In the third part of this weeks podcast we reflect on the gospel reading for Pentecost which for this year is from John 15:26-27, 16:12-15. But it is probably advisable to explore lectio this week with all the readings of the Mass of Pentecost.

Appearing to the children, the Blessed Virgin told them that She had been sent by God with a message for every man, woman and child living in our century. The message of Our Lady, though reported in much detail and still the object of much discussion, was very simple. She asked the children to be faithful to the rosary and to the devotion to her Immaculate Heart, and she asked for the consecration of Russia and the world to hers
