C&SI - Celebrating and reflecting on Corpus Christi - 2 June 2024 (S04E28)

The celebration is a mirror to Holy Thursday with a special focus on the Eucharist which allows to focus in on this as the ultimate expression of Gods supreme presence with us.In the second part of the podcast we pick up a reflection piece we did with our old colleague Lorraine Buckley on Eucharistic adoration in 2015. We have our regular run through the liturgical odds and ends for the coming week which includes the feast of the Uganda martyrs and the solemnity of the Sacred Heart. In answer to her prayer, the Virgin Mary led her in spirit to Nazareth, showed her the house where the Annunciation occurred, and asked her to build a replica in Walsingham to serve as a perpetual memorial of the Annunciation.

Appearing to the children, the Blessed Virgin told them that She had been sent by God with a message for every man, woman and child living in our century. The message of Our Lady, though reported in much detail and still the object of much discussion, was very simple. She asked the children to be faithful to the rosary and to the devotion to her Immaculate Heart, and she asked for the consecration of Russia and the world to hers
