Graham & Jocelyn began by discussing the impact of Halloween during their respective childhood. Jocelyn associated most of her childhood Halloween memories with movies, whereas Graham explains that growing up in the Caribbean, Halloween was not specifically a Holiday, but there were some traditions and observance of the first two days of November as the Day of The Dead.     On this episode of Kickin' * Streamin' Podcast, Graham & Jocelyn discuss Prime Video original series Utopia, starring John Cusack, Sasha Lane, and Rainn Wilson along with a fantastic cast of actors.  Graham & Jocelyn think the show's trailer did not do justice to the brilliant and absolutely nerve-racking plotline it has.  Graham  could not stop watching the show once he began, and Jocelyn thinks the series is 'Bats' which Graham says it's one of the highest praises Jocelyn gives to any great series or movies she watches. Jocelyn attempted to find a "spoiler-free" way to give listeners a synopsis of Utopia, but she struggled. Graham & Jocelyn dived deep into the series, the surprises and complexities of the storyline. Graham began by asking Jocelyn what attracted her toward a movie about Sherlock Holmes' younger sister when she's a a die-hard Sherlock fan.     On this episode of Kickin' & Streamin' Podcast Graham & Jocelyn discuss Britbox/ITV original series 'A Confession' starring Martin Freeman, Siobhan Finneran, Imelda Staunton, and BAFTA Best Supporting Actor nominee Joe Absolom. Graham was reluctant to start watching the show, even though it consistently popped up on his screen as while navigating Prime Video, or Britbox. The series is based on a real life story told from the point of view of former Wiltshire Detective Superintendent (D.S.I) Stephen Fulcher. Graham did not recognize Martin Freeman's image on the show's poster due to the intense makeup and prosthetics the actor may have worn in order to resemble the original DSI Fulcher. Graham began by remembering what little he knew about the Challenger story as he was a 10 year-old child in his native Haiti. Jocelyn remembers being off from school on the day of the tragedy, but could not remember the reason she wasn't in school. Graham & Jocelyn chat further as to why this documentary is of utmost important in the present days and what it means for those of us who were young children at the time; much like the recent younger generation which were little at the time of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The movie is based on a real story written detailed in a book The Last Soldiers of The Cold Was by author Fernando Morais. Graham & Jocelyn began by asking why this movie doesn't seem to have been promoted fairly by Netflix given the fact it premiered in June. Graham found out about the movie while flipping through Netflix a few h ago, but failed to put it on his watch list, and when he returned to look for the movie, he had to perform a search for it. Graham speculated whether the Cuban-American community may have lobbied against the movie with Netflix, Jocelyn confirmed she'd read the Cuban-American community in Miami wasn't thrilled about the movie. Graham praised actress Michaela Coel's sincerity and opennes to show vulnerability in the characters she writes. Jocelyn praised Arabella's growth throughout the series and how the viewer became part of her journey.     On this week's episode of Kickin' & Streamin' Podcast, Graham & Jocelyn discuss the much anticipated Netflix orignal movie Project Power starring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and up-and-coming young actress Dominique Fishback. The movie also features Courtney B. Vance, Amy Landecker, Rodrigo Santoro, and Hip Hop recording artist Machine Gun Kelly. Graham & Jocelyn agree that although the movie had all the bells and whistles deserving of a theatrical release, in the end, Project Power offered a better cast than the movie it could have been. Jocelyn suggested movie critics seem to more understanding and less harsh in their criticism of streaming platforms like Netflix when they fail to deliver from multi-million dollar blockbusters like Project Power. Graham agrees,and added Project Power was by all account a good action movie with a flawed storytelling style delivery.
