Sinopsis
The roots of APN go back to November 2010 when Avaya's Chief Architect for Worldwide Public Safety Solutions, Mark Fletcher, was looking for a home for his new weekly Podcasts on E9-1-1 and Public Safety initiatives. A small, but dedicated, group of followers subscribed to the weekly content, and a year later, the Podcasts were expanded to weekly written blogs hosted on http://Avaya.com/Blogs. It wasn't long after that, when Fletch was accompanied by APN Producer and LatAm Correspondent Guadalupe Hugony and the regular scheduled content began to expand in multiple languages. Additional interests of listeners were addressed through specific series such as Avaya Tech Talk, TiPS - Today in Public Safety, as well a coverage internationally of Avaya Evolutions events. With the 'network' becoming a reality, and traction with listeners growing, Fletch called his old friend, and Sirius XM Satellite Radio Host, Spyder Harrison (@SpyderHarrison), and convinced him to be the official "voice of the network"; and with that, APN was officially launched in the summer of 2011. As the years progressed, so did the user need for additional content and this need was satisfied by adding in trade show and event coverage in English and Spanish to the schedule. Today APN covers major industry events such as INTEROP, as well as Avaya focused shows by the International Avaya Users Group (IAUG) and the very popular "Avaya Evolutions" series where keynotes by Steve 'The Woz' Wozniak and Guy Kawasaki have graced the audience in past years. APN can be followed on Twitter @Avaya_APN, as well as with hashtags #APN and #APNPodcast
