We all have the faith to move mountains. The problem is we neglect to believe it. To solve this problem affirm often, silently or aloud, “I have mountain-moving faith!” By simply reminding ourselves that we do indeed have mountain-moving faith stimulates it, and erases all thoughts of limitation from our mind. Thoughts have power, but they’re still only thoughts. We must ever remind ourselves that we are the watchmen at the gate. We have authority over what we choose to think and what thoughts we will entertain. This is crucial because the thoughts we entertain build momentum with corresponding feelings. When that occurs our material circumstances will correspond as well. In metaphysics it’s said,“Feelings aren’t facts, they’re indicators”. When we’re feeling bad its root can be traced to a discouraging thought. We can’t prevent the thoughts that come into our mind, but we do have the power to dismiss the discouraging ones as they arise. Three of your most valuable assets are your inherent spiritual powers of faith, appreciation, and grace. And all three are verbs: verbs of mind action that bring about blessings and create miracles. When working toward a goal, the space between beginnings and endings can feel lonely and long. When you get started, you feel filled with optimism and zeal. When you reach completion, you feel satisfied and proud. Between those two poles is when it’s necessary to actively trust that God is at work on the unseen plane. Appreciation is a great way to activate this trust. Appreciation of what already is and appreciation that God is active in all your affairs, is your secret to success. God helps those who help themselves to His help (by believing in it). It has been said that the opposite of depression is expression, and the thing to express is love. When we’re feeling bad emotionally and/or physically, expressing love doesn’t seem like the reasonable thing to do. However, expressing love brings practical results. “Harvard scientists discovered that you can actually bombard people, situations, and conditions with love, thereby producing miraculous changes. They predicted that "turning love on" might soon become a universal prescription for healing the world's ills.” Emmet Fox states,  “There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer; no disease that enough love will not heal; no door that enough love will not open; no gulf that enough love will not bridge; no wall that enough love will not throw down; no sin that enough love will not redeem. Wherever there is hope recovery follows. This is the truth. However, most of us, when in the running for a desired position, an award, an acting role, or good news on test results, we tend to outright dismiss Hope. We’ll start by sharing the good news with a friend and then within the same breath squelch our enthusiasm for it by saying, “But, I don’t want to get my hopes up.” Although we’ve been seemingly taught by saying this phrase we’re being humble and respectable, the truth is we’re actually denouncing God, negating our good. We’ve replaced our faith with superstition. Thinking that somehow if we cooperate with the positive stream of life and God’s grace that we will jeopardize it. That’s insanity.
