This week is stream of consciousness podcasting at its finest... in other words, there wasn't much to talk about in sports... unless you want to rehash Lebron's feelings for the 500th time. This week the guys discuss why it's been a struggle to remain interested in sports. It's Jeff's first Christmas as a Dad and he has some questions for the guys in a Christmas themed round of Gut Check! Baysa learned some new slang terms over the weekend at his son's baseball tourney so he quizzes the guys on their slang knowledge. Plus we give a fantasy update on Baysa's awful* fantasy team!

It's the Ben and Jeff show this week! They give takeaways from the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. "fight." The Lakers signed Lebron James to a Two-Year $85 million extension. Is it worth it? The consensus is... yes? But of course Ben has complaints. Plus, we'll catch you up on how awful Darren's fantasy football team is in everyone's new favorite segment!

They also take the opportunity to make their own list of the top NBA duos of all time. The Rams released their new uniforms and Darren is pissed! Maybe not as pissed as Eric Dickerson, but he's steamed none the less. The guys also give an update on when we might get sports back. And it's the round three bracket of the "Best Band From SoCal!" The much anticipated Michael Jordan/Chicago Bulls documentary premiered on ESPN and is as great as advertised. This week the guys try something they haven't done in a very long time... a YouTube live stream! Why does that matter to you the podcast listener? Well, it was not without a few technical difficulties. Someone left Jeff in charge of setting it up which was mistake number one. Once the guys got going it was business as usual for the GIS crew! Topics covered were the latest on the NBA's plans for finishing off the basketball season, Vic thinks Rudy Gobert is a national hero and the Dodgers are back on TV... kind of. Plus the guys discuss the shows they're binge watching while we're still without sports, Darren poses some "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" questions to see how the guys do and in the category of dumbest debate ever the guys discuss whether cereal is a soup... as dumb as that sounds, the guys manage to make it even dumber.

On this week's episode the guys record remotely from their respective quarantines. They discuss the new and exciting things to do while in isolation. Jeff and his wife started a counseling center and the guys talk about the benefits and stigmas of therapy. Plus in NFL news, the Rams and Raiders have made some moves. The guys give their takes on those moves and how they think the updated rosters will fare in the next season.

In an effort to do their part to stop the Coronavirus pandemic, this week the guys record remotely from their homes. They discuss what they're doing to pass the time as they do their best not to leave their houses. They also share some of the positive news that's starting come out in light of all the doom and gloom. In sports news, it's official, Tom Brady will not return to the New England Patriots and has instead chosen to suit up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's the return of the Birthday Show! This time, it's Victor's B'day and to celebrate the guys welcome a very special guest from Victor's life! As is now tradition the the guys dedicate a show to getting to know the birthday boy a lot better. Also, the guys discuss the commitment to the podcast and its affect on their home lives. All that plus, all the latest on those filthy, cheating Astros!

After taking a week off, the guys are back with tons to talk about! The Dodgers made a huge splash by trading for Mookie Betts and David Price. The Angels tried to make a move by acquiring Joc Pederson, until Arte Moreno threw a temper tantrum. Speaking of trades, the Clippers made a big move in the right direction by picking up Marcus Morris from the Knicks. And the Lakers... well, the Lakers made no moves but that won't keep the guys from talking about them anyway! All that plus the moderately anticipated XFL launched to decent ratings and better than average reviews. Could this be the football league we're looking for? Tune in and find out!

In light of the untimely passing of Kobe Bryant, we thought it'd be a good opportunity to look back to episode 7 of Guys In Shorts, when Kobe retired. That episode we dedicated to the Mamba with favorite moments of his career, stories from his time with the purple and gold and some of the incredible stats that he posted. We re-released this episode once before a year ago and recorded an intro that has elements that are quite a bit dated. We kept this in because what isn't dated is the love and praised heaped onto the legend himself, Kobe.

This week the guys discuss the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant. They talk about his legacy and what Kobe means to the world. There has been an outpouring of love and support from people across the globe.
