Dwight and I hit upon an original idea. We start out talking about selfishness. What is it? Simply stated, selfishness is what causes suffering in the world. Then we talk about the New Covenant. In Christian theology this is the new era Christ came to usher in. What if we view this New Covenant as an evolution is human consciousness? Think of it beyond theology--what could that mean? Perhaps it is a new stage of human psychological development where people stop judging others and start to accept and love each other. The subject is "futurism" and what we end up talking about is not  a movement in art, music, and literature that began in the early 20th century, rather we discuss how to divorce ourselves from the current system of false authority. Banking and education are discussed as is our "need" for war and manufacturing of enemies. Enough of this mess, this corrupt system does not make sense any more and it is time for a new matrix. As new technologies like Bitcoin and HyperGraph are only now coming on-line and we will see the whole system flip over as we reach the tipping point. The old system will become obsolete, but what will the new system look like? In the Myth of Sisyphus, the hero has to push a rock up a mountain; upon reaching the top, the rock would roll down again, leaving Sisyphus to start over.  Sisyphus is a symbol of mankind as a whole and Sisyphus' punishment symbolizes what we do every single day during our lives and how absurd it can seem. We talk about the dark-side of the Christian faith, namely what is like to be in a high-demand religious group or even just to pastor a church when it becomes all about duty and obligation.  The separation of church and State was a good idea... now it is time to think about the separation of bank and State. It is an idea who's time has come. Buckminster Fuller once said, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” This is exactly what Satoshi Nakamoto has done! Calling Bitcoin a "disruptive technology" is an understatement. Money unmoored from any central authority is the new model. The Dimwits get into the question of Russian Hacking and Influencing the US Election. We talk about to a return to the old foreign policy of Mutual Assured Destruction (or MAD). Did Trump partner with Putin to make Russia great again or do these two secret lovers only pretend not to like each other in public? Who cares. Moreover, we need not worry because artificial intelligent is all most here and it will rescue humanity from it own destructive madness (or at least keeps us entertained and happy so we forget about war). Why are some liberals so up-tight and conservative? Relax the 20th century is not going to repeat itself. Being friends with Russia isn't so bad.  The AI will direct us and provide for us. We continue to talk about M. Scott Peck's analysis of the four stages of spiritual growth for the individual and talk about how this is also a model for how the whole world seems to be moving toward a new understanding of the Divine.  Here is how Wikipedia summarizes the stages: --Stage I is chaotic, disordered, and reckless. Very young children are in Stage I. They tend to defy and disobey, and are unwilling to accept a will greater than their own. Many criminals are people who have never grown out of Stage I.--Stage II is the stage at which a person has blind faith. Once children learn to obey their parents, they reach Stage II. Many so-called religious people are essentially Stage II people, in the sense that they have blind faith in God, and do not question His existence. With blind faith comes humility and a willingness to obey and serve. The majority of good law-abiding citizens never move out of Stage II. --Stage III is the stage of scientific skepticism and inquisitivity. A Stage III person does

Anatheism is a word that means a return to God or a reclaiming of faith. We never really got around to talking about that, instead we discuss the levels of spiritual awareness and then the subject of the so-called "sinful nature" comes up.  We will have to return to this topic in the future because so much was left unsaid. The big take away is to know this: having the right theology is not what saves a person, rather what is important is having a relationship with God. In other words, Christian faith is not what you think -- it is what moves you to repent of sin.  Intellectual belief is not faith. New Jersey is leading the nation in bail reform.  In states across the country, a cash bail system can mean that poor defendants remain in jail while wealthier defendants go free. But a model to address those disparities began in New Jersey, which has launched some of the most comprehensive bail reforms in the nation.  In the United States, 67% of inmates released from prison will return having committed a new crime within three years. Simply put, the criminal justice system doesn’t accomplish what it was designed to do.
