S7E22 Concomitant on the Fence
11/12/2017 Duración: 01h05minJohn is joined by John B as they discuss the recent events in Scottish football. Both charity bets were unsuccessful as we picked the wrong Ayr player to score first and Motherwell let us down. Celtic found out who they've been drawn against in Europa League as they face a tough contest against Zenit of Russia. McInnes deciding to stay shocked most of us though for the two John's, it was a pleasant surprise. Aberdeen can now focus on what goes on on the field and got back to winning ways. Rangers came out with an absurd statement which led to our podcast title. They managed to win again though ahead of a busy period coming up. Kilmarnock won their first game at home in the league and St Johnstone brought a halt to their poor run of form. Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. Thanks as always to McBookie for your support. As always, thanks for downloading and listening. We're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us.

S7E21 Made a Tait of Himself
06/12/2017 Duración: 01h06minJohn is joined by Krys and John B as they discuss an eventful week in Scottish football. We are recording on Tuesday where there has been a fair bit to talk about. Rangers have approached McInnes about their vacant management job while Celtic had their final Champions League game of the season. We won both charity bets so are now over £400 for the season. The double header between Aberdeen and Rangers takes up the majority of the chat due to the McInnes situation. Celtic's unbeaten run almost came to an end last midweek but they got another penalty... The weekend action is Premiership is reviewed with Dundee and Hamilton continuing their decent form. Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. There is a even a bit of pie chat and an m & m bet. Thanks as always to McBookie. As always, thanks for downloading and listening. We're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums

S7E20 Pakora and Bovril
29/11/2017 Duración: 01h29minIt's back to being the regular trio as John is joined by Krys and John B. There is plenty to talk about. In fact, the podcast is that long that we almost had a penalty shoot out at the end. We got another winner in the charity bet but it was our smallest amount due to Stirling Albion game being called off. Ayr won to add £11, taking us just under £400 for the season. Celtic played PSG and got off to a great start but after that it was shooty in from PSG. Their week got better with their cup win against Motherwell. The Premiership review leads us in to the double header between Aberdeen and Rangers. Predictions are made and charity bets picked. Thanks as always to McBookie. As always, thanks for downloading and listening. We're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums

S7E19 Kirkcaldy Clocks
21/11/2017 Duración: 58minJohn returns after his week off to join Krys to discuss what is going on in Scottish football. The podcast starts off with a plug for John's latest blog about the League Cup final. There is good news with regards to the charity bet as our FGS pick came in. Our other bet didn't fare so well as Kilmarnock let us down. We're not far off £400 so would be great to get to that before Christmas. The Premiership returned and saw Celtic continue their domestic unbeaten run. Will it end finally in the final on Sunday against Motherwell? Hamilton and Kilmarnock continued to do well. On the flip side though Aberdeen, Hibs and Rangers all lost. Rangers still don't have a manager though they seem to be linked with one every day. The League Cup is previewed and Scottish Cup draw discussed. Plenty of cup action to talk about too as Celtic have their upcoming trip to Paris. Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. Thanks as always to McBookie for providing us with the bets. As always, thanks for downloading and listening

S7E18 Tynecastle or Bust
15/11/2017 Duración: 54minKrys is back and hosting along with John as regular host John takes the week off. Although only just as Krys has some major technical difficulties to the point the sound quality isn't the best this week. Apologies for that. The discussion starts with a startling revelation for the odds on last week's debutant charity bet choice from Aidan, as Ian Flannighan of Alloa came in at a staggering 14/1! Thanks as always to McBookie for the support, especially since we'd forgotten to tweet those odds prior to the actual game! After a brief discussion on the possibility of the Scottish Challenge Cup leaving Scotland, discussions turned to the international friendly at Pittodrie. Did we learn anything, or was it a waste of time? Maybe a bit of both. After that its an extended discussion of the weekend fixtures ahead, including the third round of the Scottish Cup, a couple of lower league matches and a full Premiership fixture card. The weekend finishes with Hearts at "home", so the question is will Tynecastle finally be

S7E17 Get Shirty
07/11/2017 Duración: 42minThis week features a debutant along with a couple of regulars. John hosts the podcast and is joined by John B and Celtic fan, Aidan. A good weekend for a Celtic fan to make their debut with them breaking the British record for domestic games unbeaten. The charity bets were unsuccessful with us only getting two from our treble correct. The FGS was unsuccessful too, should have stuck with our previous choice from Ayr who scored first. The Premiership review covers Dundee and St Johnstone continuing their poor form. Rangers won again under interim manager Graeme Murty. It’s been a great week for Hibs who won both their games to continue their fine run. Hamilton have seen their form improve too. John B has written a blog about Scotland kits so we spoke a bit about that on the day a new home kit was revealed. The guys preview the friendly against Netherlands and hope to see some of the new players feature. There are no predictions as the Premiership takes a break. Charity bets are chosen from the lower league game

S7E16 End of Pedrocycle
31/10/2017 Duración: 48minIt’s the two John’s again to discuss the recent events in Scottish football. The charity bets were unsuccessful with neither coming in. It was a busy week in the Premiership with midweek fixtures as well as the weekend action. It was a good week for Hibs but not so good for Hamilton. St Johnstone continued to struggle in front of goal, Dundee lost again and Hamilton got back to winning ways. The main talking point was Rangers and Pedro Caixhina parting ways after their game against Kilmarnock. It wasn’t unexpected as it seemed a matter of time before he was sacked. McBookie and most other bookies unfortunately have installed Derek McInnes as favourite but hopefully they look elsewhere. Celtic matched their 62 game domestic unbeaten run but it wasn’t easy as Kilmarnock held them to a draw. It’s been a good week for Steve Clarke since he took over. The Scotland squad for their friendly was announced with eight uncapped players involved. The guys discuss how it’s good to see some different players involved as op

S7E15 BT's BIG Font
24/10/2017 Duración: 45minIt’s the two John’s on this week to discuss the events from the past week and what is to come this week. There is good news as our FGS bet came in even though Raith’s match was abandoned. Lewis Vaughan’s goal added £36 to give us a total of £199.67 so far this season. Celtic suffered what was probably an expected defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. It still leaves them looking like third place is most likely outcome. They continued their unbeaten run in domestic football with their cup win against Hibs. It now stands at 60 games. It’d got to end at some point, can it be Wednesday please? The other semi saw Motherwell continue their fine form as they advanced to next month’s final at Hampden. It was a week in the Premiership where subs played a vital part and there were two comeback wins. Partick Thistle got their first league win of the campaign while Ross County won for the first time at home. There is brief discussion too about Ray McKinnon’s future at Dundee United as he is expected to no

S7E14 Scottish Cup Balls Up
17/10/2017 Duración: 53minIt's the two John's as unfortunately Krys has some technical issues and can't make it. Both charity bets were sadly unsuccessful though we weren't far away with the treble. After the chat last week about Gordon Strachan, it was confirmed last Thursday that he wouldn't be continuing as Scotland manager. Will we go for someone a wee bit different next in terms of a foreign manager? That is discussed with ex Italian boss Cesare Prandelli being mentioned. Plenty to talk about in the Premiership with Rangers continuing their fine away form. Aberdeen and Celtic continue their unbeaten runs and Motherwell continue their fine form. Kilmarnock announced Steve Clarke as manager and they got an instant response as he watched from the stands. Partick Thistle continue to struggle and remain winless. The Scottish Cup draw managed to be messed up and had to be drawn again. That leads us to talking about the results of the weekend with non SPFL teams knocking out Stirling Albion and Cowdenbeath. Celtic face a big week with g

S7E13 Strachan's Small Talk
09/10/2017 Duración: 01h07minJohn is joined by John B and Krys who returns after a week off. The guys reflect on the international double header and what could have been. Where was it lost? Should Strachan stay? Are certain players coming to end of their Scotland career. Lots of questions to be answered and debated. Krys runs though the possible permutations that could lead to qualifying for Euro 2020. I suggest you have a drink while listening. The Premiership returns so predictions are made. Can Aberdeen and Celtic keep up their unbeaten start in the league? The charity bets return after a week off too. Can we increase our impressive total so far? Thanks as always to McBookie for providing us with the bets. Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums

S7E12 McCulloch Gets the Elbow
03/10/2017 Duración: 38minJohn is joined by John B as Krys pulls a sickie. Sadly, both charity bets were unsuccessful and there will be none this weekend due to international break. In Europe, Celtic achieved their best result away from home in the Champions League. There has been another managerial casualty in the Premiership as Lee McCulloch became the third manager to lose his job. We speak about who may replace him. The Premiership review includes Celtic almost losing their unbeaten run, Pena and his potential three red cards he could have got and Aberdeen continuing their unbeaten start to league campaign. Scotland face a double header on Thursday and Sunday which could see us qualify for a potential playoff to advance to World Cup 2018. The guys discuss the potential line up for Thursday and who may replace Brown and Armstrong. At the end of the podcast, John B speaks about his annual visit to Deepdale to see Preston and McGeady doing his best Adebayor impression. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S7E11 Houston Has a Problem
25/09/2017 Duración: 52minJohn is joined by Krys and John to discuss the current events in Scottish football. In a week that two managers lost their jobs, we discuss who could replace McIntyre at Ross County and Houston at Falkirk. There is good news again with the charity bet as our treble won. That takes us up to £163.67 for the season so far. That's our fourth winner this season. More wins than Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock combined. The Betfred Cup brought about disappointment for the two John's as Aberdeen went out. They managed to bounce back on Sunday and remain unbeaten in the league. The Premiership action is reviewed with Celtic beating Rangers again. Ross County continued their poor form which led to McIntyre losing his job. There is brief mention of Celtic's upcoming game in the Champions League against Anderlecht. Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. Thanks again to McBookie for providing us with the bets. The Scotland squad is briefly discussed but will be spoken about more in the build up to the conclusion of

S7E10 Kicking Me Softly
18/09/2017 Duración: 01h02minJohn is joined by Krys and John who returns after a couple of weeks off. The charity bets were unsuccessful unfortunately. Hopefully better luck this weekend. The Premiership review starts with the action on Friday which was eventful. There was one red card dished out with potential for a few others. That theme continued over the weekend where the top two remained unbeaten and Dundee picked up their first win. There is Betfred Cup action during the week with three games on BT Sport. Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. Thanks as always to the good guys of McBookie. The podcast concludes with pie and wrestling chat. Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums

S7E9 Much of a Muchness
11/09/2017 Duración: 58minRegulars John and Krys are joined by Hamish who makes his first appearance of the season. There is good news with regards to the charity bet as we won our treble. That takes us to £131.77. The Premiership review starts with Celtic continuing their unbeaten domestic run. They go in to this weekend looking to make it 55 games unbeaten....There is also the small matter of Celtic's upcoming match against big money spending PSG. Hamish is pleased that Levein has returned as manager at Hearts and speaks positively about their performance against Aberdeen who remain unbeaten. Has there ever been a 0-0 before at Murrayfield? The other games are reviewed in a bit less detail. The lower leagues are given brief mention with St Mirren and Raith Rovers continuing to impress. Predictions are made for the Premiership fixtures which leads us in to charity bet predictions. We have a new selection for the FGS bet which probably isn't difficult to predict considering his fine form. Thanks as always to McBookie for providing us

S7E8 Craig Levein Director of Rugby
05/09/2017 Duración: 53minJohn is joined by Krys as John B takes a break. The international double header takes up most of the conversation after Scotland won both games for first time in ten years. The guys are happy that we're still in with a chance of a playoff spot and maybe a first tournament in twenty years. It's back to league business as of Friday so there are predictions to be made for the Premiership fixtures. Transfer deadline day is discussed as the guys analyse the upcoming fixtures. Thanks as always to McBookie for providing us with our charity bets. Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. S7E7 For Fox Sake
28/08/2017 Duración: 01h02minIt's the regular trio as John is joined by Krys and John B. The podcast starts with the news today that Craig Levein has changed jobs at Hearts. Both charity bets were unsuccessful at the weekend. Thanks as always to McBookie for providing the stakes. There will be a break this weekend due to Scotland games. The Premiership review starts with the seven goal thriller at Firhill. Aberdeen made it four wins out of four but made hard work of the game. The top of the table clash saw Celtic maintain their unbeaten domestic run after drawing with St Johnstone. Hamilton continued their good form. Sunday saw Scott Fox making an absolute howler as it seemed like he forgot what had happened seconds earlier. Rangers got back to winning ways. The Scotland games are given brief discussion with the double header coming up. Hopefully next week we're talking about six points out of six. Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish F

S7E6 11 May 83
21/08/2017 Duración: 58minIt's the usual suspects on the podcast with John, Krys and John B. The charity bet run come to an end as both bets lost. Krys discusses Celtic's game in Europe against Astana and tries to figure out if anyone has come back from 5-0. The Celtic talk continues as they won again and extended their domestic unbeaten run to 52. Rogic comes in for particular praise in a great week for the Australian. St Johnstone and Aberdeen maintained their 100% win records while Kilmarnock, Dundee and Partick Thistle remain on nil points. Hearts are no further forward in their quest for a new manager but Jon Daly helped his cause again at the weekend. The Scotland squad was announced with the usual disappointment about players who weren't included. Predictions are made and charity bets are chosen. Thanks again to McBookie for providing us with our bets. Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums

S7E5 Riding Rita
15/08/2017 Duración: 40minIt's the terrific trio as John is joined by Krys and John B. As opposed to last season when it seemed like we were always losing the charity bets, we've won another as the treble came up. We're on £79.86 so far. The guys skim over the Betfred Cup action as there is plenty to talk about in the league. There are incidents aplenty to discuss in the Premiership with six cards, two missed penalties and seventeen goals. A wee bit of wrestling too. There are the usual Premiership predictions and then our charity bet choices. Thanks as always to the good guys of McBookie. Apologies for sound issues this week, a combination of dodgy headphones and new broadband providers unfortunately! Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Scottish Football Forums

S7E4 Jon Daly's Paper Round
07/08/2017 Duración: 45minIt's the two John's and Krys on the podcast this week (just for a change). There is good news to start off with as one of our charity bets is successful. We have £40.77 so far. There were mixed fortunes for our teams in Europe as Celtic advanced but Aberdeen went out. It's agreed that it is disappointing for Aberdeen as opposition were there for the taking. Last week we spoke about how long Cathro would last. Well, he didn't even make it past the first day of August. There are a number of people being linked with the job but will they want to work under current set up? Step forward to the weekend and there were good results for the top four from last season. Hibs impressed on their return. There is Cup action in midweek. Will thee be a shock? The podcast concludes with Premiership predictions and charity bet choices. Thanks again to McBookie for providing us with the free bets. Thanks for listening and remember we're on Twitter as sffpodcast if you wish to interact with us. And of course you can join us on Sc

S7E3 Wagner's Strapp On
31/07/2017 Duración: 52minIt's the regular trio of John, Krys and John B with plenty to talk about as league action returns. Krys starts us off with Celtic's home tie against Rosenborg which he was at. Rosenborg appeared to have the better chances but it finished level. John was at the Aberdeen game where they got off to the perfect start thanks to that man Ryan Christie. Captain Shinnie is getting the kind of treatment that Craig gives to Kenny Miller. It's all to play for as Aberdeen take a lead to Cyprus. The group stages of Betfred Cup came to a conclusion with Hearts being the first major casualty. Dundee United won the Dundee derby and have the strange occurrence of playing each other again in the second round. John B leads us in to predictions for league winners, playoffs and relegation. There are also predictions in terms of who will win the cups. The podcast concludes with Premiership predictions and charity bet choices. Thanks as always to the good guys of McBookie for providing us with our bets. Thanks for listening and rem
