So Much Hatred - Roger Meyer
23/12/2023 Duración: 04minDoes it seem like hatred and divisiveness in society have grown to disturbing levels in recent years? We see hatred and hateful attitudes not only in conflicts and wars between nations, but also in politics, in rhetoric, in censorship, and in murderous chants by angry demonstrators. Has the “love of many” truly grown cold, as Jesus Christ predicted in the Bible long ago? Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/so-much-hatred

Christmas or Passover - Josh Lyons
20/12/2023 Duración: 06minChristmas is perhaps the most popular holiday in the world. People from a variety of perspectives and societies—from the devoutly religious who cry, “put Christ back in Christmas,” to famous atheists like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris—participate in some form of Christmas celebrations. With Christmas rapidly approaching, let’s make what some may consider a strange comparison: Christmas versus Passover. Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/christmas-or-passover

Need A Guide? - Roger Meyer
16/12/2023 Duración: 04minWe have all used various kinds of guides, whether a tour guide in a museum or historic site, a guide in a national park wilderness area, an education or career guidance counselor, or even a GPS helping us to our destination in the city or country. We especially need a guide through the wilderness of spiritual deception in the world today. Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/need-a-guide

Luck is NO Lady! - J. Davy Crockett III
06/12/2023 Duración: 05minIn 1965, popular singer and actor Frank Sinatra had a hit song featured in the play Guys and Dolls. The song contained this lyric: “If you’ve ever been a lady to begin with, Luck, be a lady tonight!” It was a musical appeal to allow the singer to be a winner in a game of chance and in the “game” of life. Reliance on luck or good fortune is an ancient belief rooted in paganism that has influenced mankind throughout history. Superstitious appeals to “Lady Luck” for success in games of chance and wagers for monetary gain—as well as every other endeavor to which people apply themselves—are almost as old as gambling, itself. Hope Beyond the Grave - Josh Lyons
02/12/2023 Duración: 05minNot long ago, I attended an emotional family funeral and burial. It took place in a large Pennsylvania cemetery that contained graves going back to the 1700s. The cemetery’s website explained that the oldest legible tombstone dated to 1764, almost 260 years ago. Walking through that old cemetery made me think, Many people have been in these graves for over 200 years, far longer than they lived. As I watched a grave being closed today, their graves were closed multiple generations ago. Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/hope-beyond-the-grave

What Do You See? - J. Davy Crockett III
29/11/2023 Duración: 04minSometimes, we can look at a thing and not truly “see” it for what it is, from every angle. Our approach to life with its joys, trials, and challenges often depends upon our perceptions of something—how we choose to see—in any given situation. An analogy that seems to fit this human proclivity is how one looks at a diamond, the rarest of precious stones. Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/what-do-you-see

Develop a Family Disaster Plan - Roger Meyer
25/11/2023 Duración: 05minJesus talked much about the signs of the end of the age, saying that wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecution, and lawlessness would abound. The apostle Paul told Timothy that “in the last days perilous times will come” (2 Timothy 3:1). Are you prepared? Do you have a family disaster plan? It's Not About the Turkey - J. Davy Crockett III
22/11/2023 Duración: 05minDo you have a pet peeve? You know, an irritation that rankles you but is relatively minor in the grand scheme of things? As Americans approach our national day of Thanksgiving, it irritates me when people flippantly refer to it as “Turkey Day.” It is so much more than a day for turkey, football, and all the trimmings! Now, these things are great traditions that I enjoy as much as the next person—but they should not overshadow the origins and the meaning of the occasion. When one considers the great bounty of physical blessings, including personal freedoms, that we enjoy in this country and much of the Western world—even in hard times—a profound pause to give thanks to the One who makes it possible should be the highest order of the day. Remembering Jesus' Golden Rule - Josh Lyons
07/11/2023 Duración: 04minThis summer, I had the privilege of serving on the softball staff at one of the Living Church of God teen camps. A major theme we teach at our youth camps is the importance of doing all things decently, in order, without confusion, and in peace (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40). We also teach many other values from the Bible, and one of the biblical principles that came up a few times this year—including in basketball, softball, and other classes—was the principle of what is often called the “Golden Rule.” Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/remembering-jesus-golden-rule

04/11/2023 Duración: 05minAt a time when we are inundated daily with a tsunami of negativity and dark, foreboding developments around the nation and the world, a real-life story of courage and overcoming adversity is a welcome break in the weather. Such is the story of a man and his afflicted son who refused to be stymied by disability—and set a wonderful example of determination and perseverance to people everywhere. The Opportunity to Change _ Roger Meyer
01/11/2023 Duración: 04minOne of the greatest opportunities we have in life is the opportunity to change. We can decide to start doing the things we should and to stop doing the things we shouldn’t. We can “turn our life around.” Read the full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-opportunity-to-change

The Blessing of Unclean Animals - Josh Lyons
27/10/2023 Duración: 05minJust the other day, as I was taking out the trash early in the morning, I noticed that some food debris had dripped onto the sidewalk. The need to clean the small area came to mind, but I then noticed that ants had beaten me to task. After doing some reading and writing about unclean animals in another article recently, seeing the ants scrounging up garbage made me think on how God made unclean animals as a blessing, and one simple reason He did so is that they help clean up their environment. Let’s consider a few examples. Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-blessing-of-unclean-animals

One Doesn't Have To Be The Loneliest Number - Roger Meyer
25/10/2023 Duración: 04minA very popular song in 1969 was “One,” written by singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson and made popular by the American rock band Three Dog Night. The opening lyric of the song says, “One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do.” But is “one” always lonely? The Beautiful, Meaningful Rainbow - Wyatt Ciesielka
21/10/2023 Duración: 05minThe rainbow is beautiful, and meaningful beyond what most people realize. Not only is it a sign of God’s faithful mercy, but the Bible also associates the rainbow with His throne and a powerful revelation concerning the return of Jesus Christ to establish His reign on earth. 18/10/2023 Duración: 05minPeople have all kinds of fears. Even the bravest among us, though they may not like to admit it, have a fear or two lurking in their minds. Whether it be a common one, like the fear of public speaking (Glossophobia), or a quirky one, like the fear of clowns (Coulrophobia), fears are unpleasant. What are you afraid of? The Parental Tool Of Lying - Adam J. West
11/10/2023 Duración: 04minAn ongoing study provides shocking insights into dangerous deceptions from the most trusted individuals in the life of a child—his or her parents. Is it harmful to tell children that Santa Claus is real? Is it simply encouraging them to use their God-given imagination, thereby broadening their future mental potential? What effect does parental lying have on the minds of impressionable youth? Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-parental-tool-of-lying

Monsters Descend On Israel - Wallace Smith
10/10/2023 Duración: 07minOn October 7, 2023, monsters descended on the nation of Israel. As word spread, many Israelis rushed to their cellphones or television screens to see images of terrorists crossing Israel’s borders by land and sea—even by air in small, improvised aircraft. They descended upon a music festival packed with dancing youth. They encroached on neighborhoods. They entered homes. And their mission was clear: to kill, to maim, to rape, to torture, and to kidnap. Full text here - https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/monsters-descend-on-israel
