The ceremony, which celebrates excellence and achievement across the broadcasting industry, took place at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny last night. Clare’s most listened-to radio station claimed the top honour in recognition of its dedication to quality programming, community service, and innovative broadcasting. It was also a strong night for individual programmes. Morning Focus earned a bronze award, while Live at Glór – Clare FM’s All-Ireland Hurling Final Preview Show, hosted by Derrick Lynch and Syl O’Connor, was also recognised. Clare Chief Fire Officer Calls For Attitude Shift As "Severe" Weather Warning Comes Into Effect
03/10/2025 Duración: 04minClare's Chief Fire Officer is urging people to "rethink how they go about their business" as the season of weather warnings begins. The county is under a severe status orange warning today from 2pm to 10pm while a status red marine warning off the cost expires at 8pm. Met Éireann is predicting fallen trees, damage to power lines and possible power outages as well as difficult travelling conditions and wave overtopping. Adrian Kelly has been telling Clare FM's Seán Lyons caution should be taken with regard to journeys in conditions such as these.

World Stoma Day

Irish Cancer Society Are Calling For Increased Investment In Cancer Waiting Times

Clare Tourism Chair Says No Dublin Cap Will Boost Shannon And Visitors
03/10/2025 Duración: 09minThe Chair of Clare's Tourism Advisory Forum believes the lifting of the Dublin Airport Passenger Cap would not only increase visitor numbers in this county, but also boost Shannon's traffic. It comes as the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation has been calling for budget supports amid a 11% drop in overseas visitors numbers so far this year. The organisation has previously identified that 40% of those flying into Dublin ultimately travel to the Wild Atlantic Way. Co-Owner of Hotel Woodstock Seán Lally believes boosting funding caps for Shannon and passenger limitations for Dublin would bring major benefits.
