Curt Anderson is a CPA by trade, but a serial entrepreneur by spirit. He co-founded his accounting firm, Fair Anderson Langerman, in 1988 and he co-founded my company MDL Group in 1989. Prior to that, she was CEO of the RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) for 14 years. In addition to her career accomplishments, Tina is also a licensed pilot. Although she does not currently fly planes, she has been flying successfully in the community and continues to be a leader in Las Vegas every day.  If Not You, Then Who? Tina’s second-born son was born with a liver problem that required him to have a liver transplant and she didn’t know if he was going to make it for the first two years of his life. Today he is healthy and successful. However, the extreme stress and many sleepless nights exposed Tina’s most extreme and vulnerable sides. Both are increasing and the impacts on the southern Nevada commercial real estate market are tremendous. Just recently, the Federal Reserve raised the interest rate by .75 percent, which was the biggest single meeting increase in almost 30 years. That increase followed a rate jump of .25 in March and another of .50 in May. It was time to make a change in my health habits. I landed on running. I started with the Nike Run Club app that coached me through my runs. As I saw results, both mentally and physically, running became more and more of a passion. I decided to get a coach and start training for a half marathon. That’s when I met Michelle Cupersmith. Michelle’s resume will tell you she’s a senior financial analyst with Light & Wonder, formerly Scientific Games. She has a double major in accounting and psychology. Her resume is impressive but, first and foremost, Michelle identifies as a runner. It’s her hobby and passion and she’s helped make running a passion for people who she coaches through Team Run Run. I started this podcast in January of 2018 as a way to share the Takeaways I’ve learned from incredible individuals that have come into my life. Takeaways the Process It’s been four years and about 60 episodes since I began Takeaways. Takeaways has been a journey. From making the time to consistently produce the content, to evolving interviews to zoom during the pandemic, and then slowing down all together. Recently, I took a step back to evaluate where I was and where I wanted Takeaways to go. I realized two things. 1.
