A Review of 'The Janes:' Women Who Took A Stand For Women In Pre Roe v Wade America

The film introduces the audience to a group of ordinary women who created a vast network of abortionists in Chicago during the late 60's and early 70's to provide safe and affordable illegal abortion to women in need. The documentary offers first-hand account by the women known as 'The Janes,' now in their late sixties and seventies, along with footage and interviews with law enforcement officers of the era. Graham & Jocelyn also had a discussion about the overturn of Roe v Wade ruling by the United States Supreme Court.
