The Red Sox ended their season-high 5-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox in the series opener at Fenway Park on Friday night.  It's the Sox 29th comeback win of the season and with the win the Sox avoid falling to a game below .500.  The Sox have 21 games left in the Regular Season and 5 games remaining on the Homestand.    -----On the Board 1st: The White Sox got on the board and scored their only run against Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta in the 2nd Inning.  Lenyn Sosa led off the Inning with a Double and scored on a 2-out Single from Jacob Amaya.    -----Sox on the Board:  The Red Sox evened the game at 1-1 in the home 4th Inning.  Wilyer Abreu and Masa Yoshida both reached after getting hit by pitches.  Triston Casas picked up an RBI with a single into left field that plated Abreu from 2nd-Base.  Sox were looking for more but Enmanuel Valdez hit into an inning-ending Double Play.-----Taking the Lead with a Bomb:  The Sox took their 1st lead of the night on a 2-run Home Run from

The Red Sox finished their 6-Game Road Trip with an 8-3 loss to the Mets at Citi Field Wednesday night.  The Red Sox went 1-5 on their trip through Detroit and New York and have lost 5 in a row for the 1st time this season and have now been swept 6 times this season and for the 3rd time on the road.                         -----On the Board 1st: Tanner Houck got off to a rough start Wednesday night.  The Sox starter allowed the 1st 3 hitters to reach with a pair of singles and a walk.  After Houck struck out Pete Alonso, he allowed a Grand Slam to Jesse Winker.  Houck retired the next 2 batters and went on to retire 13 in a row at 1 point and he also struck out 6 straight hitters during that stretch.  Houck gave up a couple of hits with 2 outs in the 5th, but stranded both runners to end his night.#89's Final Line- 5.0 IP. 5 Hits. 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 7 Ks. 1 Home Run allowed.  -----Sox on the Board: The Red Sox scored all 3 of their runs and got to within a run in the 3rd against Mets starter Tylor MeGill.  Jarr

The Red Sox opened up their 3-Game Series against the Mets and dropped the opener, 4-1, Monday night at Citi Field.  The Sox have dropped 3 in a row and are 2 games over .500 for the 1st time since June 16 when they improved to 37-35 with a win over the Yankees.  The Sox are also 1-3 on their current Road Trip that has 2 more games remaining in Queens.                   -----Scuffling at the Dish: Sox collected 6 hits (5 Singles & 1 Triple) in Monday's loss.  Sox have gone 14 straight games without collecting 10 or more hits in a game.  Club has Single-Digit hit totals in 21 of its last 26 Games.      -----Bello's Night:  Brayan Bello, coming off 8 scoreless innings in his last outing against the Blue Jays, made the start in the opener against the Mets Monday night.  Bello gave up a run in the 2nd Inning, 1 more in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th Inning.  Bello took the loss and is now 12-7 on the year.  Bello has now allowed 4 Earned Runs or more in 9 starts this season.  The Sox are now 17-9 in his 26 starts.

The Red Sox lost the series finale, 4-1, to the Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit Sunday afternoon.  Sox won the opener Friday night but lost the next 2 and are back to 3. Games above .500 with 25 games left in the Regular Season.  Sox are 5-9 over their last 14 games.   -----Strong Start: Cooper Criswell made the start in the finale for the Red Sox and on Sunday and he was terrific, retiring all 12 hitters that he faced over the 1st 4 Innings. He struck out 5 and got 4 groundball outs.  Plenty questioning on "Social Media" as to why Criswell was pulled after 4 "perfect" Innings and 52 pitches (35 strikes).#64's Line:  4 IP. 0 H. 0 R. 0 ER. 0 BB. 5 K.    -----2-Out Magic: It took until the 5th Inning, but the Red Sox got on the board 1st.  Brant Hurter struck out the 1st 2 hitters in the 5th, but 3 straight hitters each reached with hits.  Romy Gonzalez got things going with a single.  Gonzalez went 1st to 3rd on a single by Nick Sogard and he scored on a 2-out RBI Single from Jarren Duran.  -----1st Out of

The Red Sox dropped a 2-1 decision to the Detroit Tigers Saturday night at Commerica Park.  The Series is even at 1-1 with the finale coming Sunday afternoon.  The Red Sox managed just 1 run against Tarik Skubal, who went 8 Innings and notched his 16th win. Nick Pivetta pitched well in his outing, but ended up with the loss  -----2-Out Magic: Tyler O'Neill got the Red Sox on the board 1st with a 2-out solo Home Run in the Top of the 1st Inning against Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.  It was O'Neill's 25th Home Run of the season and just his 3rd in the month of August.  Skubal had not allowed a Home Run in his previous 3 outings.  -----Nick's Night- Nick Pivetta, coming off recording 10 strikeouts in working in relief in the completion of the suspended game against the Blue Jays this past Monday at Fenway, made the start Saturday night.  Pivetta was staked to the early 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning. The Red Sox opened up their 6-Game Road Trip with a 7-5, 10-Inning​ win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park Friday night.  Tigers with a run in the Bottom of the 9th off Kenley Jansen to even the game at 4-4.  Ceddanne Rafaela hit a 2-run Home Run in the Top of the 10th and after a pitching change, Jarren Duran crushed a Home Run to right to add to the lead.  Connor Wong had 2 Extra-Base Hits and a pair of RBIs in the Sox victory.  Sox are now 12 over .500 (39-27) on the road for the season.-----On the Board 1st:  Jarren Duran led off the game with a Double to centerfield against Casey Mize and scored from 3rd on an RBI groundout from Tristan Casas.  Sox went up 2-0 in the 3rd Inning on a Sacrifice Fly from Wilyer Abreu.  Connor Wong knocked Boston's 3rd run of the game with an RBI Double in the 4th Inning.  Wong hit his 12th Home Run of the season in the 6th to make it 4-0.  -----The Pen: Brennan Bernardino was the 1st out of the Pen Friday night.  He worked a 1-2-3 7th Inning with 2 strikeouts.  Bernar

The Red Sox made hit back-to-back wins with a 3-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
