Next, Darol discussed the steps necessary under Washington law in the event it is desired to disinherit a child or a spouse. In particular, RCW 11.12.091 requires that, in the event it is desired to disinherit a child, to name the child in the Last Will and Testament and to state that it is intended to omit the child as an heir. While continuing to run the nursing home and raise a family of four children, Ron and his wife Pat opened Advanced Health Care and trusted that God would provide. Within three years, Ron was able to leave the nursing home business and concentrate solely on Advanced Health Care. Under Ron and Pat’s leadership, Advanced Health Care has grown and prospered, never straying from its original goal of providing a safe and reliable alternative in long-term care.
