Simple Changes for Empowered Families - Joanne & Tracey
14/05/2019 Duración: 52minI never thought I'd ever do a podcast about additive and preservative free living -- it just isn't my thing -- until I came across Jo & Tracey from 'Additive Free Lifestyle' Here's the thing, my daughter has sensitivities to eggs and corn -- all products of corn. She was projectile vomiting 2-3x a week when we were in USA and looking back it was due to the amount of corn (corn syrup) in her food. When I came back to Australia, I decided to really look at the labels. What on earth was 'flavoruing' and why was maltodextrin in EVERYTHING? I started to really look into it more. Although it didn't come up due to behaviour issues with Ainslie, if we weren't on top of it, she broke out in systematic itchy rashes for 3-4 days. After listening to Jo's story with her young daughter, I had to get the ladies on to talk about how to change your diet, feel empowered, and sane as a mom. WITHOUT being in the kitchen all day. I love their free challenge and their paid program. I hope that you enjoy this episode. ---

What Is Happening To Our Doctors? - Dr. Yumiko Kadota
14/05/2019 Duración: 38minI read the article when it was going viral online. It was picked up by the Sydney Morning Herald -- a conversation that had to be had about the exhausting working conditions that health care professionals are put under. What happens when you ask for a break, or time to recover, or a day off -- and you are told 'you're being an emotional female?' I have been there as well. Working as a Nurse with patients loads that were unsafe, turnover that was too fast, and shifts that were too long. The people that we are asking to look after us, are often neglected, overworked, understaffed and put into situations that are physically and mentally unsafe. This conversation also goes beyond the health care field. What happens when everything that you had worked so hard for, doesn't align anymore? How do your parents take it? How do you tell your parents? It's such an important episode and I hope that you enjoy listening to it. ---------- Dr. Yumiko Kadota graduated from the University of New South Wales Medical School

I Took A Year Off! - How To Embrace A 'Fertile Void' - Ainslie Young
14/04/2019 Duración: 42minWhen I read about Ainslie's 'Fertile Void' I knew that I had to have her on the podcast to share with us her journey over 2018. In the business and entreprenurialship world, the idea of taking 'as much time off as I need' seems foreign and pushed back against. But what happens when you're facing your second round of adrenal fatigue, a new mom, living overseas with a business which feels more like a chore than a joy-filled expression? Do you hustle through it? Pretend that it's ok? Or do you make a decision to 'take off as much time as you need?' I am so excited to share this episode with you, because Ainslie and I talk about it all in this episode. The deep permission we need to give ourself as females, female coaches / entrepreneurs / business owners & also moms. How To Have An Amicable and Peaceful Divorce - Megan Piccardi
21/03/2019 Duración: 26minI wanted to tackle divorce, because I don't think that we can shy away from it. In Australia the divorce rate for marriages is about 40% and around 46% of divorces involve children. I'm the product of divorce (actually 3 of them growing up) and each of them were different. There's a growing movement around collaborative, amicable and gentle divorces. In fact when I asked Megan recently how things were going she replied 'it was a great day, the couple went into mediation, came to a conclusion and both took the kids out to sushi'. Divorce doesn't have to be messy and with collaborative family lawyers (there is such a thing!) we can be guided to reducing trauma for both the adults and children. This episode is great, eye-opening and progressive. I am not going to dig my head in the sand about divorce, because it does happen. How can we make it as peaceful as possible? ------ Megan Piccardi is a collaborative family lawyer based in Brisbane, Queensland. Megan finds that by bringing a compassionate approach
