Episode 208 - I'm not finished being sad yet.
21/10/2022 Duración: 19minThis week I sit down to talk about depression, about sad about seasonal and emotional trauma but you know. In a light way which doesn't make you want to just throw a brick through a window.I think emotional outbursts are a right, it's a balance of being human and whilst it's good to encourage people who are going through tough things and provide them support the last thing you want to hear in that state is "cheer up". This is my limo for emo's be sad, get in and when it feels ridiculous to be in a car full of emotional peeps just get out and go on with your day. It's your timeline so lets talk about that.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete Hosted on Acast. Episode 206 - You're hungrier after you've eaten.
30/09/2022 Duración: 25minThis week i sit down to discuss, the want of the hungry. And the want of the hungrier. Hunger is a great driver but so is greed and privilege and suddenly having something you thought was standard removed. It instigates change it motivates and it modifies your view of the world.Whilst this can be a bad an terrible thing I wanted to sit and talk about how it can be used in a positive way and how allowing yourself little victories makes your mind want more.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete Hosted on Acast. Episode 205 - Let the Characters lead you Feat Nevada McPherson
23/09/2022 Duración: 01h04minThis week I catch up with overall fab and chatty Nevada McPherson who is a writer and teacher within Georgia. A huge fan of cinema and character driven stories she's taught and written her own work throughout her career. Including her book "poser" which is part of her larger series! So when we caught up we of course discussed that but also delved into Film noir, why we love it why we like revenge as a topic and how easy it is to get trapped in the space of not wanting to use an idea in case a better format for it comes along. You can check out her work below!https://twitter.com/nevadamcpherso3http://www.nevada-mcpherson.com/Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete Hosted on Acast. Episode 204 - Predictions of future concrete
16/09/2022 Duración: 25minThis week I sit down to talk my bad habit of predicting the future. It's been said many a time I end up talking about things well into the future which suddenly become relevant and It's interesting to me that that is the case. So this time we're talking coincidence, self reflection and how just maybe I'm not really here and a subject of your own unconscious.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete Hosted on Acast. 02/09/2022 Duración: 55minThis week i get together with online sensation and fellow moustache man Will Boyajian. Will is an a writer, actor, creator, musician and overall champ as during this chat he was quite sick so double shout out for him!But more importantly he's a huge proponent in hopeful cases, A NYC based philanthropic group in which subway performers open up their hats, and cases and allow anyone with need or otherwise to take as much as they need. With a very simple message "If you've got extra to share, share it". Will has a fascinating background and is mostly known online for being the life and soul or RPAN on Reddit with his musical stylings and has been featured many a time for what people see as the madness of giving away money. Something I can relate to.So if you would, check him out and his work and lets settle down to let the madness of "free" reign.Find him at these placeshttps://www.willboyajian.com/https://soundcloud.com/wileyboyajhttps://twitter.com/hopefulcases?lang=enhttps://www.hopefulcases.org/abouthttps:/

Episode 202 - Adult rituals for kids
26/08/2022 Duración: 22minThis video isn't specifically made for kids but perhaps more Adults with kids? I dunno i thought the title was funny. This week I sit down to talk coping, coping with life and mechanisms and how we as adults develop these rituals which allow us a reset. This isn't something which really is taught to kids as we're busy talking to them about the world at large and teaching them the basics of well...everything but we should! We should be telling them about our rituals and our behaviour as they look to us and they imitate us in the things we do so we can give them hand up by informing them that eventually they'll get their own. So settle in, grab your pentagrams and mugs of coffee as we discuss adult rituals for kids.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.

Episode 200 - Reacting to concrete 0.1
05/08/2022 Duración: 45minWatching paint dry? Nah we're reacting to concrete. It's been 5 years of the podcast. 10 years of making and as such I thought it time to dig some skeletons in the closet and cringe in the closet too and took a moment to look back at the content I used to make the reasons it was made and see how much of younger Graham agreed with older Graham! So sit back strap on and enjoy me hating watching myself and thank you for being along for the ride. Episode 199 - Subs are not currency...yet Feat Aaron Long (Sublo & Tangy Mustard)
29/07/2022 Duración: 01h14minThis week was a real honour, I reached out at random to an animator I love the work on and who has been involved with some of my favourite shows in the past decade and he was kind enough to text back!Aaron long is a Canadian animator who has his own animated web series called Sublo and Tangy mustard which is how I discovered him and quickly got a nostalgia hit for the animations I grew up with but he's also been involved in huge shows like Tuca and Bertie, Bojack Horseman as animator, and director. His love for animation and indie work still a big part of his life it was great getting to catch up with him and hear his thoughts on the world at large and why he does what he does.Obviously check out Bojack and Tuca and Bertie but do yourself a favour and check out Sublo and Tangy mustard first. You can find Aaron on :https://twitter.com/aalong64https://www.patreon.com/aaronlonghttps://www.youtube.com/c/AaronLong1Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spoti

Episode 198 - Kids just aren't cool anymore.
22/07/2022 Duración: 24minThis week I sit down to talk all things cool. Are kids cool? did they lose their edge? Can you be cool whilst not being self destructive? Are we a generation which is cooler than the last or the next or are we simply interested in the things around us which highlighted the mood of the time?Either way I don't think I'm cool enough to answer these questions but I shall try in a ramble of nostalgia, smoking and making jokes at the expense of Gen W/X/Y/Z and everyone else as I discuss what makes cool and why I'm fascinated by what the teens are up to.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Episode 194 - The buffet with the paywall- aka back to school
10/06/2022 Duración: 25minTHIS week we sit down behind the sneeze guard of education. Getting ruined on grammar and reflecting on the history of my education and what the past was like. How institutions of education are not reflective of a learning process or setup to nurture a process but are businesses and how you slowly learn this as you go through school and university. So as you all return to education this summer and winter it's important to reflect on a couple things such as: Why you're there, what you want out of the system but also what you're going to gain from going.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYoutubehttps://youtu.be/wDN2FetvBQkYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Episode 193 - Falling in love with the process Feat Mega Ran
03/06/2022 Duración: 48minThis week I got a little blown away to be able to get in touch with a musician I've been following for a long old while now and that is Mega Ran! Raheem Jarbo under his stage name Mega Ran is a rapper, hip hop artist, DJ, producer...you name it he's done it. Having been around in the game of music and art for years he's a regular on my playlist and is heavily known in the chiptune, nerdcore communities but is also deeply immersed in the underground rap scene an artist firmly with a foot in two world we establish. Having just released another album "Live '95" we talk the culture, what it means to be part of those two worlds and why they have grown to be distinct and overall the importance of making music for yourself. Touching on the risk of early burn out and that truly to make an impact you have to love what you're doing. As soon as you lose that you'll lose project and passion to complete what you began. You can catch him all over the internet but here are some great places to start:https://megaranmusic.com

Episode 192 - Experimenting with women
27/05/2022 Duración: 23minThis week I give you a clickbait title and we sit down to discuss a little experiment I've been running.During 2021 I made a change to the cast a change which would potentially have positive or negative implications and that was to only have Female and non-binary guests for a whole year!I wanted to see a few things:1.If anyone would notice2.If it would affect my audience and stats I get about the show and3.If it was the challenge so many institutions claim it is to find people for their bookings.Turns out it it's not and they are lying through their teeth but lets get into it!Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
