Jamming at home, they produced a self-recorded, self-titled EP which was soon followed by a second release in March 2017 titled "Post Space". It was not until May 2018 that Polygon Woods played their first live shows and the ranks have since swelled with the addition of Angus Gibson, Louis Gibson and Pat Irwin to fill out their expansive sound. In June 2019 they released the double single "Window Seat/Rabbit Holes". This set was recorded when Polygon Woods supported Full Flower Moon Band at The Bearded Lady in the winter of 2019. Live Delay - Ep 297 - Tralala Blip
08/12/2019 Duración: 55minTralala Blip: Live at The Foundry, Fortitude Valley, 1 August 2019 In 2007 Randolf Reiman, former singer of Sydney hardcore band Massappeal, began working with a disability support service in Lismore, N.S.W. Reiman provided electronic musical equipment for the differently-abled clients of the service to experiment with. It was here that the seeds of collaboration were sown for the project that would become Tralala Blip. Since 2009, the band has had many highlights, playing at the Sydney Opera House, creating the theatre project "My Radio Heart", touring Europe and delivering a consistent run of experimental pop records. Their releases include limited-run independent CD-R Arpeggiator Heart in 2011, collaboration album Tralala Blip Meets Muttboy in Atlantis in May 2012 on Sound Crucible, album Submarine Love Songs in October 2013 on Room40, album Aussie Dream in April 2014 on Disembraining Machine, album Oceans of Love in February 2016 on Tenth Court and most recently album Eat My Codes If Your Light Falls i

Live Delay - Ep 295 - Julia R. Anderson and glasshouse
24/11/2019 Duración: 55minJulia R. Anderson: Live at The Bearded Lady, West End, 10th May 2019 Born in the southern deserts of Israel, Julia R. Anderson's family moved to Australia when she was a toddler, settling in Bundaberg. As a teenager she began experimenting with sampling and songwriting, picking up the guitar during a return stay in Israel. Ultimately moving to Brisbane to study music, Anderson has since established herself as a prolific performer and a consistently inventive force within the local music community. This set is quite unusual, even by Anderson's adventurous musical standards. In mid-2019, she scored a support slot at the Brisbane stop on Laura Imbruglia's east coast album tour. Because regular drummer Andrew van der Horst was in Japan at the time, Anderson performed a special drumless trio show with Imogen Kowalczyk on bass and Reece Dargie on guitar. The result is a unique showcase of the intricate nature of her music, held together with no backbeat, just an invisible spiderweb of pure vibes. A viberweb, if

In 2017, Babyshakes spent some time in California along with longtime collaborator Gabriella Cohen before returning to Australia. Now signed to Melbourne label Sunset Pig, Full Flower Moon Band released the single "Roadie" in 2019, attracting significant community radio airplay and leading to an east coast full band tour. Live Delay - Ep 292 - Tape/Off and Elder
27/10/2019 Duración: 55minTape/Off: Previously featured on Live Delay in 2013 and 2014, Tape/Off have been a reliable presence in Brisbane's music community going on a decade. Anchored by the founding partnership of singer/guitarist Nathan Pickels and drummer Branko Cosic, Tape/Off released their first EP, "Unreel Unravel", in 2010, followed shortly by "...And Sometimes Gladness" in 2011. By the time their debut album, "Chipper", came out in 2014 the band had locked down the lineup of Pickels, Cosic, bassist Cameron Smith and second guitarist Ben Green. Production of album #2 began immediately after the release of "Chipper", though it would be four years before the result, "Broadcast Park", saw the light of day in 2018. Since then, the band have gigged and toured regularly, and in October 2019 released a new single, "Work Xmas Party". Recorded live at Sonic Masala Fest in Greenslopes on the 17th of August 2019. In 2017 Charles released two albums - The Wrecking Moon with the Ex Catholics, originally recorded ten years prior, and Rough Music, recorded in 2016 with a different lineup under his own name. Live Delay - Ep 290 - Chalk
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minInitially active from 1991 to 1996, Chalk rose from humble origins in an East Brisbane sharehouse to release a string of EPs: "Immortality" and "Iris" in 1994 and "Burlesque" in 1995. After calling it quits the band members went on to play in various other projects before reuniting for a show at The Zoo in 2014. Since then the band have recorded their very first album, "The Quiet City", released 24 years after their last EP. In August 2019 Chalk got together once more to launch the album, featuring James Kliemt on vocals and guitar, James Lees on keys/percussion/drums, Steve Swart on bass, Dave Gilbert on guitars/vocals plus additional players Richard Johnston on drums, Adam Cadell on violin, album producer James North on keys/guitar/vocals and a cameo spot from original member Matthew Clark on vocals. Recorded live at The Zoo in Fortitude Valley on the 9th of August 2019.

Live Delay - Ep 289 - Jess Ribeiro
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minJess Ribeiro: Born and raised in Armidale, New South Wales, Ribeiro spent time in Brisbane and Darwin before settling in Melbourne. It was in the Northern Territory that she formed her band The Bone Collectors, with whom she released her first album in 2011, "My Little River". Initially folk-country in tone, her second album "Kill It Yourself" from 2015 took her music into darker, swampier places, produced in collaboration with the legendary Mick Harvey. "Love Hate" is the title of Ribeiro's latest album, released in April of 2019. When her album launch tour stopped in Brisbane a few months ago the Live Delay team were there to capture the whole set, including her charming and frequently amusing stage banter. Recorded live at the Bearded Lady in West End on the 12th of July 2019.

Live Delay - Ep 287 - Moreton and Empress
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minMoreton: Moreton is the musical project of Georgia Potter, a songwriter who divides her music-making time between Brisbane and Byron Bay. After playing under her own name and in other peoples' bands for several years, she released her first EP under the Moreton name in 2016, titled "Specimen". She has just released a new single, "See Yourself", featuring James Vincent McMorrow and a second EP entitled "The Dog Years" is due soon. While Moreton is normally a full band prospect, our team caught Potter in solo mode. Recorded at The Bearded Lady on the 12th of July, 2019. Empress: Formed on the Gold Coast, Empress released their debut self-titled EP in 2017 before playing their first live show several months later. Comprised of Chloe Cox, Benjamin Smith, Julian Currie, Shaun Allen and Jackson Tuchscherer, the band have since consistently gigged around town, developing their enormous onstage sound. Live Delay - Ep 286 - HEXDEBT and Bench Press
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minHEXDEBT: HEXDEBT are a band that are just gut-punching-ly good. They are comprised of great musicians who together blend a sound that is inescapable to get involved in and feel their energy. Releasing their first EP in 2017 called Bitch Rising, they have played consistently around Melbourne and have toured around the country, bringing that fire to audiences who revel in it. The band consist of Agnes Whalan on vocals and guitar, Isobel D'cruz Barnes on bass and backing vocals, Aife Larkin on guitar and Lucy Fry on drums. As a vocalist, Agnes’ vocals can hit you like venom as the two guitarists feed off each other like a cobra fighting a mongoose. All the while the rhythm section has incredibly intricate basslines that always keep you moving along with crashing and fervent drumming. Their debut album Rule of Four, released in 2019, sees HEXDEBT take their sound to the next level and land a new benchmark on what is a very exciting journey. Recorded live at The Bearded Lady on the 20th of July 2019. Bench Pres

Live Delay - Ep 285 - Wax Chattels and The Stress of Leisure
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minWax Chattels: Wax Chattels are a trio of former jazz students hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. Several years after meeting at the University of Auckland, Amanda Cheng, Peter Ruddell and Tom Leggett formed Wax Chattels and were quickly snatched up by legendary New Zealand record label Flying Nun Records. Live Delay - Ep 282 - SixFtHick
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minSixFtHick: It’s hard to even begin to describe SixFtHick when so many great music writers have had a crack and not even come close at scratching the surface. They formed in 1995 and have consistently played and blown audiences faces off since then. They are comprised of Tony Giacca on bass, Dan Baebler on guitar, Alan Noonan on drums and Geoff and Gentle Ben Corbett as the twin front men. They are guttural, they fuel that growl in your chest as their music swirls and twists you into a frenzy. A word that gets thrown around with SixFtHick is primal and it's hard to argue against as every song makes you feel like you can kick that door down and take on the world. Their live show is something of a spectacle as that energy manifests itself on stage with acrobatics, swinging from rafters and some of the most intense hip moving that would put Elvis to shame. They have toured consistently around the world since their inception and have supported giants like The White Stripes, TISM, Beasts of Bourbon and The Jon Spe

Live Delay - Ep 281 - Start Together and Ro
26/10/2019 Duración: 55minStart Together: Named after the Sleater-Kinney song of the same name, they first began making music together in October of 2016, gathering at the drummer's house on Mt. Glorious just outside of Brisbane. Since playing their first gig in June 2017, the four-piece of Gerard, Demetry, Emma and James have released the singles 'Xmal Inveigle', 'Being Born' and '9617 GRAHAMCHAPMAN', all the while writing and recording more songs for an upcoming longer release. Recorded live at The Foundry on the 24th of May, 2019. Ro: Growing up in Margaret River, Western Australia, Rowena Wise developed her musical chops playing in her family's folk band before moving to Melbourne in 2012. Finding her way in the Melbourne music community while playing a guitar she designed with her father, Wise released her first, self-titled album in 2016. Since shortening her name to simply 'Ro' in 2017, her music has evolved to incorporate more electric guitar and electronic sounds, which you will hear in this set. Recorded live at The Be

Live Delay - Ep 280 - Asha Jefferies and June Low
03/06/2019 Duración: 55minAsha Jefferies: Asha is an artist who has been around for a while, commanding audiences with her honest and brutal lyrics combined with a striking vocal presence. First releasing a single in 2016 called ‘Honey, Save Me From My Falsehoods’, Asha garnered national attention and was still under age as she played some of the biggest stages in the country. Asha has been refining her sound over the years growing as an artist and in 2017 released the single ‘Coburg’ just before 2018s massive hit ‘Chaos’. Assembling a band, playing consistently and releasing singles to a wide fanbase cumulated in the release of her debut EP ‘Hold Yourself Together’ which was released in February 2019. When Asha performs, she can cradle you in the palm of her hand as she weaves these intimate stories that are relatable but also make you feel like your gaining a true insight into her feelings. Recorded live at the The Triffid on the 9th of March 2019. June Low: June Low are a four piece band from Brisbane who perform a style of

Live Delay - Ep 279 - Tesla Cøils
26/05/2019 Duración: 55minTesla Cøils started out in 2013 and have steadily built a following for their unique blend of music. 2016 saw a major rise for the band as they released their first self-produced EP, ‘Emergence of the Cosmic Monolith’. A really awesome concept and a true nod to DIY roots, they self directed videos for all 5 tracks of the record which created an amazing audio visual companion piece to the record. Combined with the electronic mastermind Jed A. Wølters, who’s brain must look and think like a synthesizer and the brutal and animal like drumming of Chris Dennis, they have a sound that is hard to replicate. They create a sonic soundscape that brings forth a dark imagery of dreariness but also highlights the beauty in such sharp changes and the depth of feelings. It’s analogue, its real and it's really something to witness and experience. This set from Telsa Cøils was recorded live at The Bearded Lady on the 16th of February 2019 as they launched their dynamic and damn fun track ‘Dinosynth’.

Live Delay - Ep 278 - Requin and McKisko
17/05/2019 Duración: 55minRequin: Requin are a three piece band from Brisbane that are playing an incredibly intricate math rock blend. Their harmonies will lull you perhaps into a false sense of security, but often bring you to a wholesome feeling of beauty amongst brutal time changes which always keep you guessing. They are comprised of Fionn Richards, Keeley Young and James Eyre Walker on a variety of instruments from keys, saxophone, bass pedals, guitars and drums. They released two singles, ‘Return to Sender’ in 2017 and ‘Blood, Sweat and Bees’ in 2018, all leading up towards an EP released in October of 2018 called ‘The Noisy Miners Swoop Him’. It was a 5 track beautiful recording which highlighted the complexities of their music and their direction which truly sounds unique. On stage they consistently blow people away and you can physically see the buzz around them grow as the crowds get bigger, as do the venues. One thing that no one can deny is that seeing Requin on stage is seeing three friends who truly love playing m
