The Red Sox dropped a 10-6 decision to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night and the series is even at 1-1 with 1 more to go.  The Sox are now 2-3 on their current 6-game homestand and 3-8 on their homestand.  The Red Sox committed 2 errors in the Mariners 5-run 5th inning.  James Paxton took the loss.  Rafael Devers hit a 3-run Home Run in the setback.  Dylan Moore had a 3-run Double in the M's big 5th and he had 2 Doubles on the night.      -----Paxton Back in the Mix- James Paxton made his return to the Red Sox after being acquired from the Dodgers last week and was tagged with the loss  Paxton gave up a run in the first on a 2-out, RBI single from Justin Turner.  Yes. The Red Sox got back in the win column Monday night at Fenway Park with an (14-7) win over the Seattle Mariners in the series opener between the 2 clubs.  Red Sox sent 11 batters to the plate and scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning.  The Red Sox collected 8 hits in the inning, including 1 Home Run and 4 Doubles.  Nick Pivetta rebounded from his rough outing last time out in Denver and collected his 5th win.  6 different hitters had multi-hit games in the Sox 56th win of the season. -----Hitting Is Contagious:  Red Sox went 1-2-3 in the 1st & 1-2-3 in the 2nd against starting pitcher Logan Gilbert.  Connor Wong got things going in the 3rd with a leadoff single and he scored from 3rd on a wild pitch with the game's 1st run.  Sox were far from done.  Wilyer Abreu delivered a 2-out, RBI single to make it 2-0.  Next hitter, Masa Yoshida smacked a 2-run Home Run to give the Red Sox a 4-0 lead.  Rafael Devers doubled after Yoshida's Home Run to keep the inning going. The Red Sox never led at any point Sunday night and lost the series finale, 8-2, to the Yankees. Tanner Houck took the loss. The Red Sox committed 3 errors in the loss and the team continued a disturbing trend of late by not hitting, with runners in scoring position when they had the opportunities. Dreaded 1st- For the 2nd straight game, the Yankees scored 3 in the top of the 1st. Aaron Judge went the other way with a single and that scored Alex Verdugo with the game's first run. It was the 7th RBI of the Series for Judge. Later in the inning, Houck gave up a 2-out, 2-run single to Gleyber Torres. ----- Going Yard- Rob Refsnyder and Connor Wong got the Red Sox closer with back-to-back Home Runs in the home 4th. Rafael Devers followed with a Triple off the Green Monster, but he was left stranded. The Red Sox were 1 out away from moving to a game over .500 for the 1st time this season at Fenway Park this season. It did not happen.  The Yankees tied the game up against Kenley Jansen in the top of the 9th and scored 3 runs in the top of the 10th against Chase Anderson and evened up the series with an 11-8 victory.  Red Sox did not score in the bottom of the 10th and left 2 runners in scoring position.  Chase Anderson took the loss.Before the Blow Save-Tyler O'Neill led off the home 7th with his 2nd solo Home Run of the game and that put the Red Sox up, 7-6.  Sox would add 1 more run in the inning to go up, 8-6.Aaron Judge hit a 1-2 pitch from Zack Kelly off the Green Monster in the top of the 8th inning and plated, Alex Verdugo.  Juan Soto ignored the stop sign put up by the 3rd-base coach and was cut down at the plate.  Jarren Duran played the ball off the wall and fired to Ceddanne Rafaela who made a perfect throw to the plate to Connor Wong to cut down Soto for the 2nd out.  Kelly got the next hitter

The Red Sox returned home to Boston and opened up a 6-game homestand with the first of 3 against the Yankees Friday night.Sox back in the win column with a 9-7 comeback win in the opener against the Yankees.    It's the Sox with their 22nd comeback win of the season.  Ceddane Rafaela made it a 1-run game with a 2-run Home Run in the 7th.  It was his 12th on the year and 3rd this season against the Yankees.In the home 8th, Wilyer Abreu came off the bench with a pinch-hit Double to tie the game at 7-7 and the next hitter Masataka Yoshida came through with a 2-run Single.  Kenley Jansen worked a scoreless 9th inning to close the door on the Yankees.     ------At The Dish:Red Sox got a run on the board in the first on a Sacrifice Fly from Tyler O'Neill who came up with the bases loaded and one out.  Does anyone swing at the first pitch in a big situation more than Tyler O'Neill?  Productive out & 39th RBI for O'Neill.  P.S. The Red Sox closed out their 6-Game Road Trip with a 20-7 loss to the Rockies in the finale at Coors Field Wednesday afternoon. Sox went 1-5 on their road trip, losing all 3 to the Dodgers and lost 2 of 3 to the Rockies. Nick Pivetta got knocked around in taking the loss. Sox starter gave up a home run to Ezekiel Tovar to start off the home 1st inning. Pivetta threw 38 pitches and allowed 3 runs in the 1st and 2 more in the 2nd. He was chased from the game with 2 outs in the 3rd. Pivetta’s Line- 2.2 IP. 10 Hits. 8 Runs. 7 Earned Runs. 0 Walks. 6 Strikeouts. 2 Home Runs Allowed. Pivetta is a free agent this winter. Would you be good with Pivetta being part of the Sox rotation after this season or are you fine with him walking in free agency? The Red Sox never trailed in ending their 4-game losing streak with Tuesday night's 6-0 win over the Rockies at Coors Field. Red Sox have not lost 5 straight games at any point of the season. Would you agree that the Sox wouldn't need to be in the market for a right-handed bat if Tyler O'Neill was more consistent? The Red Sox dropped their 4th straight game with a disappointing 9-8, 12-inning loss the Colorado Rockies Monday night at Coors Field.Ezequiel Tovar knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the 12th with a bases loaded single off of Chase Anderson.The Rockies scored 2 runs in the 12th after the Red Sox took the lead in the top of the inning on a 2-out RBI single off the bat of Wilyer Abreu.   The Sox are 0-4 on their current road trip.Red Sox came from behind twice in the game and didn't take their 1st lead of the game until the top of the 10th inning.  Tanner Houck made the start and gave up 4 runs (4 ER) in the 3rd inning, but that was it.  Charlie Blackmon hit a 2-run Home Run to get the Rockies on the board and 5 straight hitters reached and 4 runs scored before Houck was able to record an out.The Red Sox got all 4 runs back against Austin Gomber in the 5th inning.  Jamie Westbrook got the Red Sox to within a run with a 3-run Home Run.  Jarren Duran followed with a triple, his 11th on the year and firs

The Red Sox were swept in a 3-game series in Los Angels by the Dodgers after losing the finale, 9-6, on Sunday night.  It's the 3rd time this season where the Sox have been swept in a series and the second time on the road.The Red Sox led 2-0 against James Paxton and the Dodgers 3 pitches into the game.  Romy Gonzalez attacked the first pitch of the game and doubled to left field.  Jarren Duran took an 0-1 pitch from Paxton and hit a 2-run Home Run to left.  It was Duran's 2nd homer of the series and 12th on the season.The Dodgers scored 2 runs with 2 outs off of Kutter Crawford in the bottom of the 1st inning.  Freddie Freeman made it 2-1 with a solo Home Run, his 2nd of the series.  Gavin Lux, 2 hitters later, tied the game at 2 with a double.  The Dodgers played Home Run Derby against Crawford over the next 4 innings.Teoscar Hernandez gave the Dodgers a 3-2 lead with a solo Home Run in the 3rd.  Gavin Lux hit a solo HR in the 4th.  Austin Barnes and Shohei Ohtani hit solo shots in the 5th.  Ohtani's Home R

Lead changes, Ties, Blow Saves, Extra Innings and a whole lot more at Dodger Stadium on Saturday night.  In the end, the Dodgers walked off with a 7-6 win in the bottom of the 11th inning over the Red Sox.  The Dodgers will have an opportunity to complete the series sweep on Sunday night.  Will Smith delivered the game-winning hit with a 1-out single in the 11th off of reliever Greg Weissert. Kenley Jansen took the mound with a 1-run lead in the bottom of the 9th and promptly gave up a game-tying home run to former Red Sox Kike Hernandez.  Jansen was able to get Freddie Freeman on a pop up later in the inning to strand 2 runners on base and send the game to extra-innings. The Red Sox opened up a 6-game road trip after the All-Star break with the first of 3 against the Dodgers Friday night at Dodger Stadium and lost a 4-1 decision.  The Red Sox led 1-0 going to the bottom of the 8th inning, but Freddie Freeman gave LA its first lead, hitting a grand slam off reiever Brennan Bernardino.  Nick Pivetta turned in a strong performance, and exited with a 1-0 lead, but he ended up with a no-decision.  Pivetta gave up just 2 hits in tossing 6 innings of shutout baseball.  He walked only 1 and struck out 8, including Shohei Ohtani 3 times.    Jarren Duran, coming off being named as the Ted Williams MVP at the All-Star Game Tuesday night in Arlington, Texas, got the Red Sox on the board with a solo Home Run in the 5th inning.  It came off Dodgers starting pitcher Gavin Stone and was his 11th of the season.  It would turn out to be the only run of the night for the Sox against Stone and 4 relievers.    Zack Kelly worked around a walk in tossing a scoreless 7th inning.  Kelly walked the le
